SOC Intensive Workshops
Feeding and Nurturing a Dynamic Through Service

This two-day intensive is a deep exploration of strategies to help understand how to fully access the opportunities and benefits of service to feed and nurture our dynamics. Drawing on our 30+ years in a dynamic, we will explore the giving and receiving service, how to curate and personalize service, and the transformative power of intentional, and mindful service. We will also dive deep into how to leverage the inherent influence of the service mindset to support the hierarchy and structure. On day two we will bring it home by reframing self-care within the context of service – to help bring our best into our dynamics.

Saturday

Part 1: 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM EDT

(2 hours total: 1.5 hour class + 15-30 minutes at the end for review/questions)

The Giving and Receiving of Service

When service is both given and received with intention and mindfulness, it can be transformed into a powerful and meaningful exchange. Service can be an expression of love, a way to demonstrate, honour, show respect and set the tone or atmosphere for a dynamic. Join U/us as we explore strategies to bring mindfulness and intentional service into a dynamic, review the diverse range of services, discuss training approaches to support the practice, and understand the vital role appreciation has for the exchange. It takes the ordinary and makes it extraordinary, setting the stage for feeding and supporting the dynamic.

Break: 5:00 PM – 5:30 PM EDT (30 minutes)

Part 2: 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM EDT (2 hours total)

The Power of Service to Support a Dynamic and the Authority Structure

This class explores how the inherently hierarchical nature of service builds bonds between the giver and receive, and can effectively support a dynamic’s authority structure. Whether new or in a long-term dynamic, through thoughtful consideration and carefully curating the type of service to fulfill your goals, service can help to overcome challenges, support growth, establish or re-establish connection, improve focus, and reinforce authority and submission/surrender.

Sunday:

Part 3: 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM EDT

(3 hours total: 2 hours + 1 hour for questions at the end)

Self Service as Service

This class explores the approaches to manage service to the dynamic, service to your person, and service to self (i.e. self care). What happens when service to yourself conflicts with service for your dynamic or your person? In the hierarchy of a dynamic, how do we prioritize self care? Who or what comes first? Regardless of the side of the slash, making self care the priority without our person feeling their core needs or the dynamic are neglected, can be a balancing act. Join us as we examine strategies to navigate these challenges and integrate self service, so we can fully bring our best to our person and dynamic.
